Tracy has been dancing since the age of three. She began competing and performing during high school, both with studio dancers and as a captain of the Benilde St. Margaret’s Dance Team. Her studies include training with members of Keane Sense of Rhythm and Flying Foot Forum, as well as local and national conventions. Tracy has been teaching dance for 17 years. Many of her tiny preschool dancers have grown up to be members of top ranking high school teams, college dance teams, and some to even be teachers! The dream of opening her own studio was realized in August of 2004. Tracy takes great pride in being a positive role model for the children she teaches and hopes to bring a love of dance to every child she encounters!
After many years of studio training, Anna continued her dance education at St. Olaf College. She earned a B.A. in Dance and graduated Cum Laude. As a freelance choreographer, Anna’s work has won numerous national awards, including the 2002 Universal Dance Association (UDA) National Pom Title, and has also been commissioned by the University of Kansas, Sam Houston State University, North Dakota State University, the University of Delaware, the Minnesota Timberwolves Extreme Team, and the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders. Anna is a former seven year UDA Head Instructor, teaching high school and college aged dance teams across the country. She was also the Midwest Territory Manager for UDA for four years, and coach of the National Champion Eden Prairie Pom Squad.
Heather began her dance training at the age of five. She has since studied at the Trollwood Performing Arts Camp, the Red River Dance Company as well as Broadway Dance Center in New York. She has also studied extensively with members of the Flying Foot Forum and Jazzdance. She has worked with L.A. based choreographers Jackie Sleight, Mark Meismer and David Carter. Heather has been teaching and choreographing for 15 years. Many of her students have gone on to dance for nationally ranked college dance teams as well as professionally. We are excited to have Heather and all that she has to offer her students here at The Dance Warehouse!
Teri is a welcome addition to The Dance Warehouse staff! Her amazing sense of humor and love of kids is unstoppable in the classroom. She grew up dancing all styles, tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, musical theater and hip hop. She began teaching 8 years ago and has led many dancers to win numerous awards both locally and nationally! Teri’s love of dance led her to create a performance dance company “Imagine” in the fall of 2005. She has studied at local conventions, and continues to learn through various Master class offerings throughout the Twin Cities. Her passion for dance and teaching is contagious, we’re excited to have her as part of our studio.
Kelly is a true dance enthusiast with over 35 years of experience. She began dancing at the age of 3 and teaching & choreographing at the age of 14. Kelly went on to win National Championships in dance with the Eden Prairie Pom Squad and the University of Minnesota Dance team before spending 3 years as a Vikings Cheerleader. She also studied collegiate level ballet, jazz, and contemporary at Barbara Barker School of Dance. Kelly is not only known for her relevant choreography, but for her ability to pull an emotive performance out of dancers all across the U.S. She is the owner of IGNITE Dance Connections, a custom costume company. Kelly has a passion for sharing & cultivating the art and connection of dance with students & audiences. She loves to ignite the potential in her students!
Casey has had a lifelong love of dance! After 15 years of studio training, she taught camps for the Universal Dance Association. She studied Marketing at the U of M where she was the co-captain of the Gopher Dance Team and a student at the Barbara Barker School of Dance before spending 3 years as a Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader. Her passion for choreography has led her to work with many impressive teams including the nationally-ranked University of MN Dance Team and Eden Prairie Pom Squad. Her teaching style empowers students to be true performers and tell a story to the audience. She lives with her husband in Bloomington and thanks God for the gift of teaching dance!
Mattie has been dancing since the age of 3. Most of that time she was performing on a competing line where she won multiple group and solo awards and was captain of her dance team for 4 years. She has studied with numerous professionals including Ellen Keane and Kathy Wind of Keane Sense of Rhythm, TU Dance Company, Erin Thompson, the Flying Foot Forum, Stuart Pimpsler, Mathew Janczewski and Shannon Fahey. Performing arts has been a huge part of Mattie’s life. She has been studying numerous mediums that include Musical Theater since she was in 4th grade at the Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource School (F.A.I.R. School) all the way through her senior year in High School where she graduated from Main Street School of Performing Arts (M.S.S.P.A., now PIM) with an emphasis in dance. Mattie specializes in Rhythm Tap, Jazz and Musical Theater and has been teaching her love and passion for dance since 2009.
Regan is proud to be a part of the talented staff at The Dance Warehouse! She has been Directing, Coaching, & Teaching dancers & dance teams since 2001, and continues to dance professionally in the Twin Cities. Regan is the founder of Evolution Dance Concept, a group of Adult Dancing Professionals who get together to explore new movement and hone their craft. She has danced for numerous choreographers such as Michael Ferrell, Mackenzie Lewis, Talya Dozois, Joe Crook, Lauren Baker, Jessica Schilling, and Christina Leines. She has worked regularly with The Phipps Dance Theater and Erin Sheppard Presents since 2011. Her choreography has been most notably featured with Evolution Dance Concept, Erin Sheppard Presents, The Phipps Dance Theater, Minnesota Dance Collaborative’s Illuminaires, The Starettes, The Dragon’s Dance Team, and numerous studio and dance team competitions. Dance is Regan’s passion and she is honored to be able to share that with her students on a regular basis.
Stephanie Fellner’s Minneapolis career now spans 3 decades. A member of The Ballet of the Dolls for 25 years, Stephanie originated numerous roles, including Rat Queen in “Nutcracker…Not so Suite”, the title role in “Cinderella”, Vicky in “The Red Shoes”, Coquette in “King of Hearts” and Grey in her solo show “Shades of Lady Grey”. Additional favorite credits to include: Ivy Award winning “Crime and Punishment”, the two time Sage Awarded “Test Pilot” choreographed by Penelope Freeh, and “Kom Hit” a collaboration with Sally Rousse and Noah Bremer at The Swedish Institute. Company work includes TU Dance (founding member), James Sewell Ballet, The Children’s Theatre Co., The Minnesota Opera, The Minnesota Orchestra, NorthStar Opera (Skylark) and The City Children’s Nutcracker. In 2005, she was awarded the McKnight Fellowship for Dancers and received the title of “Best Dancer in Mpls” from the City Pages. In 2008, she was presented with the Sage Award for “Outstanding Performer”. Her current ventures are with the newly formed immersive company, Strange Loop Productions. She is also on staff at Paragon Pilates and Physical Therapy in Edina.
Tara has been dancing and competing since she was 4 years old. She started dancing at Metropolitan Dance Alliance, where she studied ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. In 2003, Tara came to The Dance Warehouse as a student. She finished out her last 4 competitive dance years here. While she attended the University of Minnesota completing a BS in Kinesiology and a BA in Child Psychology, Miss Tara continued her career at the Dance Warehouse assisting and teaching. She loves children and teaching dance and can’t think of anywhere else she would rather be than at the Dance Warehouse!
Kristen has been dancing since the age of five. She was a studio dancer for 9 years, and during high school was a member of the Eden Prairie Pom Squad. She was a captain her senior year and was fortunate enough to win two National Championship Jazz titles in 2006 and 2009 from the Universal Dance Association (UDA). Kristen continued her dance career in college at the University of St. Thomas where she was a four-year member and two-year captain. During her time on the team, they earned four National Championship titles from 2010-2013, one in Hip-Hop and three in Jazz. Currently, when Kristen is not thinking about dance she spends her time with her husband & beautiful baby girl and is also pursuing a career in Online Marketing.
Trey brings his own signature style to The Dance Warehouse. Trey has worked with Jesse McCartney, Jamie Lynn Sigler and Radio Disney artist LMNT. Trey’s choreography has been featured on HBO Family, ABC’s The View, NBC, ESPN, and the Oxygen Network. He has performed and choreographed numerous routines for the NBA, NCAA, professional dance companies, industrials, and various television projects. His passion and talent are truly inspiring and every class offers a challenge for his students.
Kelly’s love of dance started at the age of 5. She was a studio dancer for 9 years before she joined the Eden Prairie Pom Squad in high school. During her time on the team she traveled to New York City to take classes at Broadway Dance Center, was captain her senior year, and earned three jazz National Championship titles in 2009, 2010, and 2011 from the National Dance Association (UDA). After high school, Kelly continued her dance career at the University of St. Thomas where she was captain her junior and senior year and went on to earn five National Championships from UDA. Two in Jazz in 2013 and 2014 and three in hip hop in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Kelly has also choreographed state and national routines for teams around the country, such as Fargo North High School, University of Northern Iowa, and Clemson University. Kelly loves inspiring students to work hard for their passions, encourage them to walk through life with a caring heart, and of course have fun!
Cathy began her training at an early age and studied primarily ballet and pointe; however, Cathy also trained in tap, jazz, lyrical, ethnic, modern, musical show, and Pilates for ballet. Her training continued for one year at Branitski Ballet Company where she studied Russian Ballet methods. Cathy pursued her jazz dance training when she auditioned and was placed on the Reebok Performance Team, during the Inaugural Season by the Minnesota Timberwolves. The experience gave her opportunities to mix with Minneapolis’ elite group of dance choreographers and dancers. While part in the Timberwolves organization, she resumed her ballet training with the Continental Ballet Company (CBC) in Bloomington, MN under the direction of Riet Velthulsen, where her performances included The Nutcracker Fantasy; Paquita, Carnival of the Animals; Coppelia; leading role of Kitri in Don Quixote; and solo role of Sylvia under the direction of John P. Hallahan.
After begging her Mom to put her in a pink tutu at the age of 3, Alex’s love and passion for dance began. Throughout her childhood, she trained at Stage Door of the Performing Arts, Just for Kix and then to Northern Force Dance Company. She joined the Fridley High School dance team and was a 4-year state qualifier and continued her dance career at the college level, on the St. Benedict Dance team. Alex is a member of JAM, the Judges Association of Minnesota Dance Teams and is actively involved in the Minnesota dance world. She is thrilled to start her first year at The Dance Warehouse sharing her love for dance.
